Our Aim

To support Muslim children in finding exceptional foster carers

The Muslim Foster Network are committed to supporting every Muslim child who has faced separation from their families and empower carers to give back to the community and support the growth and development of a foster child.

Vision

For every Muslim child who comes into care to obtain a loving, caring environment which, through mutual understanding and respect, affirms their identity and faith.

Mission

To increase the number of high-quality carers within the UK with the understanding of the needs and values of Muslim children in foster care.

Values

Promote understanding. Celebrating diversity. Freeing potential. Close communities. Living & working with integrity.

Why focus on foster care

It is estimated that there is currently a shortfall of around 10,000 foster carers in the UK that are needed to provide a loving and stable home for a foster child.

There is also a specific need for more Muslim foster carers who can look after Muslim children to enable them to practice and understand their faith.

Afzal Khan MP

"We are really loving these @MuslimFostering Network clips with Shiekh Sajid Umar. Super informative for any practicing Muslims and for me personally very interesting as a non-Muslim to learn more about the faith. This along with the recent @pennyappeal info has been brilliant."
