There is a hadith about the virtue of taking care of a yateem*: from Sahl bin Sa’ad (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: The Messenger of Allah - (peace be upon him) said: “I and the one who looks after a yateem* will be like this in Paradise,” (showing his middle and index fingers raised together). *[orphan or child in need of parental care] - [Sahih al-Bukhari Book 68, Hadith 53]
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) as saying: “Charity does not in any way decrease the wealth and the servant who forgives, Allah adds to his respect; and the one who shows humility, Allah elevates him in the estimation (of the people).” [Muslim Vol. 4, Hadith 6264]
