Mentor Launch event in Leeds was a great Success with over 25 potential Mentors getting an introduction in to our programme. We had a range of people from different professions who were actively seeking to help the refugee children.

This was also a great opportunity for the representatives of the refugee children to get to speak with the mentors see their motivation to why they want to Mentors.

Our Mentor programme pairs Refugee children with working professional Mentors so they can help resettle the children better in the UK as well as teaching them valuable life skills and help to raise their self confidence and self esteem.

The programme lasts 12 months with the end result being a confident ambitious young man who has direction in his life and structure. The Mentors will now go through the application process as well as the DBS checks and then specialised training from our experienced youth workers so they can plan and carry out the sessions.

On the 26th of October we will be Launching Mentor Manchester and by the end of the year have Leeds and Manchester up and running. This should take our programme live and functioning in 5 different sites in the UK (London, Birmingham, Bradford, Leeds, Manchester).
