AS
Head of Fostering Recruitment & Social Media
My name is Annie Shafi and I am the Head of Recruitment for Muslim Foster Network. As the Head of Recruitment, I am responsible for leading the recruiting department in all its functions, inclusive of recruiting potential foster carers. I have been with the organisation since 2016 and prior to that I have been in senior managerial roles which have given me transferable skills that I use in my day to day operations within the business. All prospective foster carers have to be approved by me and are vetted thoroughly. This is all done prior to me passing their referrals on to the Agencies as well as Local Authorities. My team and I provide the potential foster carers with the relevant information, advice, training, support and encouragement they need to successfully apply to be a foster carer. In addition, I have had 4 years of experience fostering children and young people. I am also part of the advisory group for the business and. I also lead on all our social media campaigns and posts for all our products across the various different brands of our organisation and I am an active member of the Advisory Group. I am always equipped to offer support to new foster carers when needed and have trained all new starters to the business on Sales Force, our in-house cloud- based CRM system. This is just an overview of some of the duties I do as Head of Recruitment, but it is not an exhaustive list and I continue to contribute to sectors of the business when needed in addition to my role heading up the recruitment.
